Welcome to the Austin Seminary Archives Digital Collection

Library Studying 1980s

To improve support for the faculty, staff, students, and other researchers of the Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary, the Austin Seminary Archives offers online access to some of our most prized collections.

The Austin Seminary Archives, located at the Stitt Library, serves as the repository for documentation of the Seminary's administrative activities and educational programs, its publications, memorabilia, photographic records, and the occasional memoirs and personal papers of the Seminary's faculty. The archives hold roughly 140 distinct collections documenting the history of Austin Seminary and Presbyterianism in the Southwest, including a focus on Mexican-American congregations in Texas.

On this website, you will find collections such as the Theologs, the Thomas McHutchin and Hilda Cunningham Scrapbooks, as well as Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary photographs documenting seminary life.

As we continue to grow our collections, we hope that visitors will utilize our digital services in unique and inventive ways. We also encourage your participation in identifying any people or places or to correct any other information about these materials. Please submit corrections via the contact form, so that we can update our records.

For complete inventories of all our collections, see Our Archival Collections.
